Introduce your note

We recommend you clarify your note's topic and author(s) at the top. Here are two examples (the 2nd one is very clean):

Structure your note

You should be as consistent as possible across notes. We're actually building the Slite editor with this in mind.

πŸ‘‰ Headers
Guide the reader by using headers 1 and 2. They'll structure your note efficiently.
Use the in-line toolbar or the keyboard shortcuts (try cmd+shift+1).
Headers will automatically generate a note summary, pretty useful for long notes.

πŸ‘‰ Bullet points
Probably one of the best ways to clarify your thoughts for yourself and readers. They are great to make your ideas more concise and explicit. We duly recommend it.

πŸ‘‰ Note links
These are a great way to avoid duplicating existing content by simply linking notes to each other. Reference any note by typing "@note title".

πŸ‘‰ Emphasize important information
You can use our quote feature to make a sentence more visible.
Simply use "> " in the beginning of a line or use our in-line block toolbar.

πŸ‘‰ Add a takeaways section
For meeting notes, add takeaways or TLDRs at the top as a summary. It's also a good place to add action items.

Enrich your content

A note isn't limited to text. We recommend to display the information under its best support.
πŸ‘‰ Images
πŸ‘‰ Tables
πŸ‘‰ Embed other media like Youtube video, Airtable,...
πŸ‘‰ Code block
πŸ‘‰ Add quote
πŸ‘‰ Upload files

Take this note as an example

Now that's a good note. A meaningful title, a TLDR, a good illustration, the use of headers, making it super easy to scan.
